Update the First…
Creative Studios News, Site News

Hello everybody, I’m here with an update :D

So the new design has been up for a short while now, but with all the old content from Version 8 simply ported across. But now comes the first of a set of updates that will sort that out and breath some new life into the old page contents.

So read on to see what’s happened in this, the first content update of many still to come.

Right, well first of all a few random things to note. As said before I’m now using WordPress and as such a few new things are available for me to use to on the site.
On the main page, as you may have noticed, there is now a search box and a calendar. The search box can be used to search through News posts if you are searching for a specific page or article (though I admit there’s not much up to search through yet, however there will be at some point), and the calendar allows you to see when post have been made and view archives of posts for specific months. Though please note that some pages may not work properly as I haven’t finished editing all the pages to work fully with Wordpress.

Now onto main site updates, all of the updates this time have been to pages within the ‘Creative Works’ section of my website. All the pages there have had an overhaul as to both the look of the pages and also the contents within them. So here’s the in-depth update:

Right, First of all I have now implemented a Lightbox script called ThickBox, this script is used on many of the pages which feature artwork or images that have been scaled down. I have done this to stop you from having to open the full view of images in a new window, which can get annoying very easily. I will give mention to pages that do indeed use this script, in their part of the update.

Now then, next the online website portfolio section has had it’s information updated and also had a change of looks. The page is now divided up into sections, showing projects that I have completed, projects that are currently being worked on and projects that have been put on hold. Making it easier to see what I have done and what I am doing.
Next if you click on the small picture of the website it will open up a full version of the image within the browser window as it uses the ThickBox script, however a couple of the images will open an iFrame that will show you what the current website looks like, as these sites have not yet had their new designs go live (or finished in somecases).
Also I have now put up commission information on the page as well, so if you might be interested in commissioning me to make a website for you then please have a look at the infromation there.

Next the Art section has been given a small facelift as there is currently very little in there however more is going to be added soon, once I have finished working on a few things for the site.
Art has now been divided up into sections based on the years in which they were made, also you can now see a full view of the image within the browser window, by clicking on the preview icon, as I am also utilising the ThickBox script here as well.

The Sprites page has only had a small overhaul to it, updating the information within the page and also adding the ThickBox script to fullview any sprites that needed it.
Also the Sonic Heroes Advance Hoax is still on the site and that too has been given a slight overhaul, as I have redesigned the layout of the section and have also either added or shortened information on the images.

Finally the Fonts page has had a minor overhaul to it, again adding the ThickBox script for full-viewing the preview images more easily, and I have also updated the information within the page as well.

So there you have it folks, the first update is here and we’re well underway for more as there’s still plenty of sections left for me to convert and tinker with.

So stay tuned for more,
~NeonIce
